AI Beauty
Shopify makeup try-on: what mid-market buyers should verify
What to verify if Shopify App Store distribution is a hard requirement — including AI Beauty’s current status.
If your storefront is Shopify, buyers often filter vendors by “Is there an App Store listing?” That filter is rational — and it can exclude strong white-label pilots that embed via page or script. This note stays honest about AI Beauty and points to public alternatives.
AI Beauty status (explicit)
AI Beauty does not currently ship a public Shopify App Store listing as a primary distribution channel. If an App Store install path is a hard procurement gate, validate it with every shortlisted vendor — including us — before you invest evaluation time. Our default path remains demo → catalog pilot → white-label / widget on the brand site. See Virtual Try-On and Pilot.
What Shopify buyers still need beyond an app badge
- brand-scoped shades (not an open multi-brand palette);
- mobile PDP UX that does not break theme layout;
- photo fallback when camera permission is denied;
- events you can read in your analytics;
- exit terms if the pilot fails.
Public Shopify-oriented vendor materials
Some vendors publish Shopify commercial paths. Banuba’s public TINT pricing guide (checked 2026-10-14) describes a Shopify app band roughly USD 319–1,599/month alongside other TINT paths. Treat those figures as Banuba’s public marketing — re-verify on their site before buying.
When a non-App path is still right
- You need white-label / custom domain more than native theme embed;
- Your catalog and consent flow are the bottleneck, not the app install;
- You will measure a pilot on a campaign URL first.
